Crafting has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My mother always made wreaths and did Cross-Stitch. My grandmother made quilts and used that weird plastic stuff with yarn.
I started crafting as an actual hobby when I was diagnosed with Depression and was told by my therapist that having something to keep my mind busy would help me feel better, especially during the winter months when I am at my worst. So I bought a kit to teach me to knit. From there it was jewelry and sewing and crochet. I would buy beat up old furniture at yard sales and fix it up. I would buy old jewelry, take it apart and make it new. I am always full of ideas and sometimes I am not sure what I want to do first but everything I make is made with the utmost pride! I love what I do! I hope that you do too! (HeHe I'm a poet and didn't know it!) |
